Contents in an Experience Letter
As a matter of fact, the experience letter of an employee should have clear mention about his past held designation, his duties and responsibilities in his tenure of service. It must also have the contributions of the employee for the company’s success. For a brilliant projection of the employee for future employers, experience letter format could also have the JD or the job description apart from the extra efforts made by the employee for attaining organizational goals. It may appear to some like a reference letter but it is different from it.

A reference letter is a kind of a reference or recommendation of a candidate for a given post while an experience letter is needed to highlight the work experience of a candidate that he has acquired in a company. It also serves as a proof of the authenticity of work history details mentioned in the CV of an applicant.

Typically, an experience letter is addressed anonymously, 'To whom it may concern.' It includes the positive personality traits of the employee like his sincerity, capability, efficiency, soft skills, dedication, trustworthiness etc.

An experience letter is relevant for kinds of employment. It is applicable across the industries. The only difference in the various experience letters would be the set of responsibilities that an applicant has borne during his tenure of service.
